Socio-Economic Values and Ecological Importance of Balanites aegyptiaca (L.) Del. in Sahelian Agrosystems in western Niger

Balanites aegyptiaca contributes strongly to the resilience of Sahelian populations. All organs B. are used either for food, medicinal purposes or other services. However, very few studies on socioeconomic importance have been conducted in Niger. The main objective this study was valorize knowledge populations uses Sudan-Sahelian agrosystems Dosso region. region chosen based its two agro-climatic zones, characterized by scarcity species south and abundance north.
